AskMen.Com’s Top 99 Women – 2008 contains a variety of women, from various professions, races and haircolors as well as eye colors.

Majority of women have brown eyes, and the dominant hair color this year amongst the top 99 women are blond or brown, as the most striking combination of hair and eye color is brown hair with brown eyes.

The top woman on the list of 99 most beautiful women in the world according to askmen.com, Katherine Heighl has blond hair with Brown eyes, and medium breasts size.

There is a slight overweight of brown haired women amongst the top 10 list of women, and the dominant color of the eyes amongst the top 10 are brown.

We want our readers to put the name no 100 on the list as well. Given that all these women were equal and trated as one of the 100 most beautiful women on the earth, which one would you like to add as your candidate no 100? Please write a comment to the article, with your proposal of candidate.

Remember one thing, these are famous persons, but you can add anyone to the list, the one you regard to be amongst the top 100 beauties in the world.

We have made some short statistics on this 99 most beautiful women list. The statistics can lie of course, and main source of error is hair color as many women of course color their hair, and therefore hide their natural color. Another source of error could be the breast size as some have natural, and others have transplants in them to make them bigger.

Of the list seen below we can see that around 64 percent of the women have brown eyes as the rest 36% has blue eyes. Any discoloring in shades of blue, grey, black, dark brown has not been taken into account.

38 percent of the women have blond or brown hair, and the rest 24 percent has black hair.br>

What is interesting is to see the combination of hair and eyes as well. We have found out that around 29 percent has brown hair and brown eyes. 24 percent has black hair combined with brown eyes. 21 percent has blond hair and blue eyes and 11 percent has blond hair with brown eyes. The rest of combinations states 9 percent brown hair with blue eyes and 6% with blond hair and blue eyes and finally 4 percent with black hair and blue eyes.

You can yourself do the statistics on the breast size and whether there is a combination of hair color, breast size or eye color and breast size that strikes out.

It seems that some fashions, although immensely popular with celebrities, fashion magazines and the general public, are not the most practical for female drivers. The latest craze for long fringes is putting people on the road in danger. Eye-skimming fringes, copied from celebrity styles, mean some female drivers are in danger of a disaster, a survey revealed.

The survey revealed that 67% of women have a hairstyle which could, potentially, fall into their eyes while they are driving a vehicle. In this poll, which was conducted of 1,000 female drivers, half admitted they did not tie back their hair before embarking on a journey. 33% did not think it was necessary to control their hair before driving and 8% said they did not want to ruin their hair.

Of the women surveyed 1% admitted that their hairstyle had caused an accident, near-miss or a sudden, unexpected manoeuvre due to their vision being temporarily impaired. The survey was conducted by women’s car insurance company Sheila’s Wheels, and also discovered three out of five women take their hands from the wheel to rearrange their hair or move it out of their eyes.

Sheila’s Wheels’ spokesperson, Jacky Brown commented: “Not many women think of their hair as a potential driving distraction. But with the latest trends requiring styling round the face and eyes, it’s essential we are aware of safety.”

According to the survey, women in Northern Ireland were the most fashion conscious, 80% regularly change their hairstyle to keep up with the latest trends. North-east England’s women were least concerned about following fashion trends and south-west England’s women drivers have the most practical driving haircuts.

Brown pointed out: “There are so many hair accessories available that can secure hair in place without compromising style. It’s just about finding the right one for you and making sure it’s handy whenever you step behind the wheel.”

High profile hairdresser, Martyn Maxey commented on the study, he said: “For some celebrities, a change of hairstyle is headline news. Take Kate Moss and The Fringe for example – in recent weeks we’ve been inundated with requests for the long fringe and despite it falling over the eyes, it’s now a fashion statement and people want it.”

Maxey continued by giving tips for having beautiful hair and driving safely, he recommended keeping a hairband, headband or alice band in the car’s glove compartment at all times. He said that for the extremely style conscious there are many different styles of hair slides available to clip long fringes or styles that may interfere with driving, back.

Other suggestions he makes are to leave a chunky velcro roller in a long fringe while driving to keep it out of your eyes, when you arrive at your destination your fringe will be perfectly styled, for the ultimate glamour, a pair of designer sunglasses propped on top of your head will keep all stray hairs out of your face.

Fashionable hairstyles are obviously not only going to be practical for driving, however it is easy enough for women to keep a range of hair accessories in their car to minimise risks of accidents due to something as silly as hair in the eyes.

So, is it worth risking accidents to stay stylish in the car? It seems that it is not only the risk of hair falling into the eyes and obstructing vision that is a problem, but also women removing both their attention from the road and their hands from the wheel to rearrange their hair.

It seems women should be more concerned about their safety , that of any passengers and others on the road, than they should be about the immaculate state of their appearance, namely their hair.

Somehow the styles of Coco Chanel have always tapped into classic and timeless elegance. For the owner the Chanel Clutch has always represented refined beauty. The Chanel Satin Clutch is a favorite of many celebrities. When you might on an evening party, the clutch is a wonderful choice. A woman knows the beauty of the accessories she chooses imbues her and makes her stand out. Chanel Satin Clutch is that accessory.

A woman best understands the need of another woman. Coco Chanel knew, from the beginning till her death, she was aware of the trend and caught our hearts. Now, her inheritor develops Chanel as a niche in this very world with a bold and artistic statement. Satin Clutch proves that.

Dark satin, twinkling diamonds, vintage Chanel logo, which is Chanel Satin Clutch. It is key-low yet sumptuous, simple yet haute, like an elegant woman, just stands there, oozing wisdom charm. Today’s fashion customers are incredible savvy. They know that they do not have to buy a complete new outfit to work the latest look, but they know they should collect latest accessory as the season’s vital ingredient for updating a look and bringing color and glamour. Satin Clutch meets their demands.

Each diamond is embroidered on the satin, like the stars in the night sky. It is one of those dreamy clutches where anything you can even picture in your wildest dreams. Though Chanel couturier Karl Lagerfeld recently declared “bling is over”, Satin Clutch is still one of shiny accessory in the form of elaborate craftsmanship, which certainly caught our attention.

Prepare to fall headfirst in love with Chanel Satin Clutch, ladies? Celebrities such as Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham have flaunted theirs, as have Hollywood personalities Pairs Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. You should believe your judgment.

An insight into the world of designer jewellery

A Facination with boubles and trinkets draped alluring around the neck or or on ones finger has delighted and enticed women for millennia.

Wearing Jewels makes women feel more special especially when bought for them as a statement of their own beauty.

The business of designer jewellery has then a captive market so what makes one retailer more successful and stand out more than the competion especially online.

We turn to an example myflashtrash.com and try to ascertain from the owner why her branding is so successful

Amber Atherton is fast becoming the darling of the fashion world in her own right.

With her chiseled looks (reminiscent of a younger Kate Moss) its not hard to see why she has been courted by such celebrity magazines as Love Tatler Marie Claire et al

But not content with being on one side of the camera Amber explains how her passion for fashion translates into a Jewellery Empire built around myflashtrash.com and here is why she thinks its so successful

Choosing the right designers is key you have to really be in tune with your market audience and find the designers that stand out from the crowd and more than that they must be producing Attention grabbing designer jewellery

The hottest name in designer jewellery right now, designer Vivienne Barz is a London based Californian export whose irresistable designs are quickly becoming a fashion favourite with style goddesses and celebrites on both sides of the pond.

Designer Vivienne Barz whilst growing up on a farm in a 3000-person town in rural Northern California, Barz spent her childhood surrounded by nature and found inspiration in her rugged environment. Even as a young child, Barz knew she was destined to work in fashion: while most girls her age played with dolls, she spent her play time constructing jewelry using materials found in the fields behind her house, mixed with chains and pearls from her mother’s costume jewelry.

After her move to Southern California as a young adult, Barz began traveling the world on surfing expeditions, never forgetting her love of jewelry design. As fate would have it, Barz was a better shopper than surfer. On her days abroad when the surf was too advanced, Barz would hit the local village markets in search of unique finds. Five continents and fourteen countries later, Barz had acquired a vast assortment of distinctive beads, gemstones and fabric, ranging from zebu horn in Madagascar, coral in Indonesia, jade in New Zealand, to silk in Japan. Upon returning to California, she began crafting jewelry using her finds from the countries she visited mixed with American materials.

When Barz began wearing her pieces, women would stop her on the street, inquiring where they could find such exotic jewelry, most occasions offering to buy the necklace off her neck. Barz’s designs soon generated a buzz and, in late 2007, Barz cashed in her savings, left her job in marketing and created her dream company: vivi+vivi.

While most of her current collections are crafted of entirely new Western materials, Barz still uses her global and vintage finds in her One-of-a-Kind pieces.

Barz is the epitome of the designers we strive to promote and our customers certainly approve says Amber.

“Model as Muse” is the impression that Costume Institute Gala at the Met leaves me. So many celebrities wearing luxury want more flash. There are two courses of action: decide to be happy in your own skin, stick to what suits you and realize you are never ever going to outshine Gisele and Kate; or go into hyper-competitive mode and try and steal the limelight away from the “The Supers”.

Madonna really won in this Party. Louis Vuitton catwalk show, this time the collection for next autumn/ winter, finally settling on a teal taffeta puffball with thigh-high, black, “Belle Époque” boots and a turquoise “bunny ears” hat. Please not unsurprisingly, the concoction, which had looked “absolutely fabulous” in a bizarre kind of way, on a model, on the Paris catwalk, in March, failed on “Our Madge” and looked merely ridiculous.

Just having the guts and the gumption to wear something outrageous does not a style icon make. Surely it is time for Madonna to invest in a little grown-up glamour.

Kate Moss, meanwhile, one of the evening’s hosts, along with Marc Jacobs, Justin Timberlake and Anna Wintour- looked every inch the glamour goddess. Her dress was a shimmering metallic, toga-style gown with a wing of fabric cascading from the left shoulder, also by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, and with it, in typical Kate fashion, she added a matching turban. There are few women who can dress for optimum effect without the security blanket of a curtain of hair- “Mossy” is one of them.

You want to know how much do supermodels weigh? The minimum height is usually about 5′8″, and average weight for a model is 108-125 lbs.

First things first: you’ve taken the trouble to do a little research, so you’re not a moron. That’s good. Regardless of prevailing stereotypes, you need smarts to break into modeling. Those same smarts will also help you realize that your chances of becoming the sort of supermodel who lands multimillion-dollar endorsements are only a little better than your chances of being killed by a charging rhinoceros – even if you’re beautiful. The success stories are few; even models represented by the best agencies in the world often take other work to supplement their income. Now, if you’re still reading, congratulations. You aren’t easily discouraged, and you’re gonna need that kind of pluck to endure the rejection which is part of every model’s stock and trade. There are several different types and levels of modeling, and if your expectations are realistic, you needn’t feel discouraged.

What it takes to be a fashion-model

If you’re female . . .

* You should be somewhere between 15 and 22 years old, though probably closer to fifteen. Models don’t have careers that last as long as say, doctors, so agencies tend to want to invest their time in someone young.

* You should be tall, long-legged, and lean. The minimum height is usually about 5′8″, and average weight for a model is 108-125 lbs. These characteristics are partly aesthetic and partly practical: this type of frame looks good on the runway and in front of the camera (which, they say, adds 15 pounds); and a somewhat scrawny build drapes clothing nicely and ensures a good fit in the standard wardrobe. There are always exceptions to the rule, of course – Kate Moss is 5′7″ and Gabrielle Reece is a giant 6′3″ – but, in general, the closer you are to the industry norm, the better your chances.

If you’re male . . .

* You can start out a little later, roughly between the ages of 18 and 25. They won’t want you to look too childish. The good news is that a man’s modeling career usually lasts longer than a woman’s, and since ten-year-old boys more often dream of blowing things up rather than strutting the Hugo Boss runway, this side of the biz tends to be less competitive as well.

* Average dimensions for a male model are a height of 5′11″- 6′2″ and a weight of 140-165 lbs. You should also be fit (not bulging with muscles, but definitely healthy).

All right, so let’s assume you’ve got all of these qualifications. You are, for example, a willowy 16-year-old girl who’s on the basketball team, could squeeze her body through a set of prison bars, and causes old men who shouldn’t be ogling you to stumble over their walkers. That’s great. On top of that you have clear skin, perfect teeth, and your own brand of je ne sais quoi. Fantastic. It’s time for the next step.

Some of the top models names; Heidi (as in Heidi Klum)
Tyra (as in Tyra Banks)
Adriana (as in Adriana Lima)
Gisele (as in Gisele Bundchen)
Alessandra (as in Alessandra Ambrosio)
Karolina (as in Karolina Kurkova)
Kate (as in Kate Moss)
Cindy (as in Cindy Crawford)
Naomi (as in Naomi Campbell)
Claudia (as in Claudia Schiffer)
Laetitia (as in Laetitia Casta)
Elle (as in Elle MacPherson)
Linda (as in Linda Evangelista)
Natalia (as in Natalia Vodianova)
Eva (as in Eva Herzigova)
Christy (as in Christy Turlington)
Carolyn (as in Carolyn Murphy)
Amber (as in Amber Valletta)
Bridget (as in Bridget Hall)
Carmen (as in Carmen Kass)
Marisa (as in Marisa Miller)
Lily (as in Lily Cole)
Daria (as in Daria Werbowy)
Jessica (as in Jessica Stam)
Isabelli (as in Isabelli Fontana)
Yamila (as in Yamila Diaz-Rahi)
Sophie (as in Sophie Anderton)
Milla (as in Milla Jovovich)
Freja Beha (as in Freja Beha Erichsen)
Agyness (as in Agyness Deyn)

I bought this book on the basis of the Reviewers’ comments. However, having had 3 previously bad experiences with following Reviewers’ recommendations, I really should have known better.

What I expected from a book with a story set in the 13thc and a parallel one set in the modern day was an intelligent story about two different worlds but with logical interfaces. What I got was a plot driven 13thc story and a weak, totally irrelevant modern day story.

It is difficult to understand why the modern day story has been included. It is light on substance, has no believable romance, and no believable central characters. You do not really care what happens to them and, although they are meant to be the modern embodiment of the 13thc characters, there is no discernible or credible link. Reading the book feels as though the modern day story has been included as ‘padding’ to make the novel appear to be more substantial that it actually is.

In the 13thc story, Alais has a strong and pivotal role in the plot as do her father, husband and sister. Although some of the characters are not well formed, those of Alais, her father and her husband are. You can fully understand why Alais becomes the protector of the Book of Words – the third in a trilogy of books – which will bestow tyranny in the event of power and wealth. Her sister is in search of these three books and has acquired two in her quest for power. However, it does not explain why good people are harmed and die and why some people are destined to make such dramatic sacrifices which would be too much to bear for the average human being.

Alais is the daughter of a State Official who had, many years before, sworn an allegiance to protect the books when at any time in his life he was summonsed to do so. When she realises her father cannot protect the Book entrusted to him she takes up the struggle.

However, the present day story is weak. Alice has no role in the story; she is working on an archaeological dig for a week at the recommendation of a friend (Shelagh). Although Shelagh has no role in the story at all, she later gets tortured and dies. But there is no rationale, rhyme or reason why this is so other than to show a devout Catholic in a bad light. It is totally meaningless and without plot and you struggle to establish why the torture has taken place at all or how it has furthered the story. In the post Da Vinci code era of knocking the Catholic Church, this appears to be the sole rationale for its insertion.

Alice, contrary to the Reviewers’ assertions, is not a ‘feisty heroine’ rather someone who lacks judgement, originality of thought and any discernible personality. Yet, going against the rules of the archaeological dig she is digging alone and stumbles on the graves of Alais and her husband – but does not know it at the time - it makes no difference that you, the reader, know. Alice purportedly feels a sense of affinity and also the presence of Alais, but there is no proper context to this feeling. Alice is imbued with ‘déjà vu’ and knowledge – without antecedent or rationale.

The ‘knowledge’ pits Alice against the modern day Catholic Church and the modern day pursuit of the grail – but none, absolutely none, of the story is believable or has any relevance other than Alice has the same name as Alais. However, the major problem is the so called romance between Alice and Will, whose only link to the 13thc story is that he shares the same name as Alais’ husband. Alice and Will meet briefly by accident on a park bench and the reader is meant to believe that they fall madly and passionately in love but you are, in fact, left wondering how and why. Alice has no personality and Will has no character or, excuse the pun, will power. Yet after one very brief meeting, you are asked to believe in their eternal love!

Quite frankly, into page no. 200 I had really become bored by the book. So much of it is unnecessary. All you are doing is reading a text book history lesson, into which some less than credible characters have been inserted. If you want to read about the siege of Carcassone, go there and visit the museum – you don’t need to read this book – the history is there in its own right.

The book is far too long. The 13thc story should have formed the only story. A large chunk of the book is totally irrelevant. It struggles to link the modern day story to the 13thc one. The narrative is weak which, combined with a lack of plot and lack of characters in the modern day story, fails to further the story. Instead, textbook history is relied on to ‘flesh out’ the novel.

I have discerned a trend in media reviews today, if they like you you will inevitably get a good review, whether they like it or not. I have read 3 books this year the content of which bear no actual relation to the reviews posted about them. It is clear some reviewers have not actually read the whole novel before committing pen to paper.

My advice is that you go to Carcassone and read your own history. It is probably much more interesting than this novel!! The novel is a formulaic, commercial novel riding on the back of Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’ therefore guaranteeing publication.

At 14 years old, Moss was spotted while waiting for a flight at JFK airport in New York. The Croydon schoolgirl who disliked her studies and once admitted that she thought she “might’ve been a bank manager” would become one of the world’s most famous faces and it’s now almost impossible to imagine the British fashion industry without her.
Her Rise and Rise

At just 15, she was cast in John Galliano’s show as Lolita, which would be her debut catwalk appearance. She followed this by becoming the face of Calvin Klein, appearing nude for Obsession and fronting an underwear campaign with “Marky” Mark Wahlberg. Soon after, she made her debut appearance in British Vogue and her first cover followed two months later.
Heroin Chic

When Kate Moss appeared, supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer were known for their statuesque and curvaceous figures. However, Moss’s skinny frame was completely different, leading her to be labelled as an ‘anti-supermodel’ and launching a new look widely regarded as ‘heroin chic’. This look was extremely controversial, as many people believed it encouraged drug use and eating disorders. However, this scandal only succeeded in boosting Moss’s career.
A Glittering Career

Over her long career, Moss has graced most of the major catwalks for designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Chanel, Gucci, Robert Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Missoni and John Galliano. In recent years, she has chosen to grace the catwalk less and prefers to concentrate on lucrative advertising campaigns and magazine shoots. She is the face of Rimmel cosmetics and has previously fronted Calvin Klein’s campaigns, Burberry, Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance and many more. She has also appeared on over 300 magazine covers, including W, Vogue, The Face and Vanity Fair.
Unlucky in Love

Moss’s colourful romantic life is as well documented as her modelling career. She has dated Billy Zane, Leonardo DiCaprio, Evan Dando, Jake Chapman, Jesse Wood and most famously, Johnny Depp and Dazed and Confused editor, Jefferson Hack. Moss had a child, Lila Grace by Hack in 2002, before the couple split two years later. Since then, Moss has entertained a controversial on-off relationship with Pete Doherty, a British musician whose life is plagued by drug problems.
Cocaine Scandal

Doherty was partly responsible for a scandal that rocked Moss’s career in 2005. A British newspaper printed photographs of her, which appeared to show her snorting cocaine at a recording session for Doherty’s band, Babyshambles. The scandal led to a criminal investigation but charges were quickly dismissed due to a lack of evidence. However, it also led to a great deal of controversy, costing Kate a number of lucrative contracts with the likes of H&M and Chanel. Luckily, the controversy ultimately revived her career and she now earns more than she did before the scandal. She staged a spectacular comeback, snagging 18 major contracts and being crowned Model of the Year at the November 2006 British Fashion Awards.
