No, whether u think she is a good singer or dancer is your opinion. But I don’t believe she got big cuz she was a Jackson. She released Rhythm Nation b4 she started using sex. @GUURL101 Janet got her break because she was a Jackson plain and simple. She also uses sex to sell her image and music. That is so obvious. She is a mediocre singer and dancer. This video is what she has to resort to, to make it in the industry. That and flashing the public with her left tittie during the superbowl.
Janet didn’t just get famous bcuz of her connection with the Jackson 5. It’s bcuz people like u kept saying shit like that is y she made the “janet.” album. If she got famous off of her brothers, then y is it that other than Michael, the others died out. None of them could have a solid music career. Not Jermaine, not Jackie, not Tito, not Randy or even Marlon. The same goes for all the other females. Janet was the most famous after Michael. She surpassed all the others in the Jackson 5.
@GUURL101 Janet is an average dancer at best. Yes I have seen her videos and I am not impressed. Janet was only famous because she is the sister of the Jackson 5. If she didn’t have connections, she would have never made it in the entertainment business. She isn’t dancing in this clip. She is just climbing all over some guy and and walking around the stage.
Janet can sing, she just can’t SING like Christina. She is more than an average dancer. I’m an average dancer and I’ve been dancing since I was 7. Apparently u haven’t seen all her videos. BTW, she became famous BEFORE she began using sex. She already had hits like: Control, Nasty, Rhythm Nation, Miss you much, Black Cat, Escapade, Alright, and many more. She isn’t a mediocre entertainer. Unlike MaNdonna. Go watch her live at the Vh1 fashion awards. It is a very heartfelt performance.
@GUURL101 Thank you for correcting my about Christina. And yes, you are right. Christina is an excellent singer. She never made it big because she isn’t all that pretty. But Janet cannot sing, she is an average dancer. I just think a lot of female singers today use sex and shock value to make up for the fact that they are mediocre entertainers and singers.

She was born in Staten Island, New York. Her father was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She’s not Puerto Rican. She was mainly raised by her white mother cuz her parents got divorced when she was a little girl. Her fatther was abusive. ANYWAYS, Christiana Aguilera can SING. She even sings better than Janet, Britney, and Madonna. She also doesn’t lip-sing. Janet has talent. She’s not that great of a singer but she can DANCE! I don’t care for the others.
